There are also several web sites that might help. Kansas State University has a great parasit web page.

To help identify some parasites we might go to Avian Medicine and Surgery (Harrison/Harrison), Avian medicine, principles and applications (Ritchie, etal) or Frye's Reptile Care. all three have some pictures and other information on a few parasites.

"Veterinary Parisitology" by William Foreyt. We have the fourth edition and it includes cattle, dogs and cats, llamas, reptiles, even marine mammals. It has good black and white pictures, measurements, and is wire bound. It's also relatively cheap! Only $20 + postage. You can order it from SCAVMA Bookstore and their phone number(in WA state) is (509)335-8359.
