Veterinary Technician
Toledo Zoo
A position is available for a full time licensed veterinary technician to assist the veterinary department in all aspects of medical care of the Zoo's collection, including: anesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting, hospital & equipment maintenance, computerized record maintenance, clinical pathology lab procedures, diagnostic procedures, treatments and necropsies. Requires completion of a two year approved veterinary technology program with a minimum of six months to one year of postgraduate experience. Must have National Certification and be able to obtain registration in the State of Ohio. Exotic animal clinical experience preferred. Requires a valid driver's license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
