Veterinary Technician 2 Wisconsin National Primate Research Center The UW-Madison Graduate School, The Wisconsin National Primate Research Center is one of eight federally supported (NIH-NCRR) National Primate Research Centers and is the only one in the Midwest. More than 250 scientists, through competitive grants, use the Center's resources and services to conduct research in primate biology, with relevance to human and animal health. Our staff, services and operations are supported in part by a base grant from NIH-NCRR. Research is done in the area of AIDS vaccine development, Stem Cell Research, Immunology, Genetics, Parkinson's disease, Reproduction, Neurobiology, and aging. The center is an AAALACI-accredited facility housing approximately 1200 rhesus macaques as well as common marmosets and Cynomolgus macaques. Minimum starting pay is $15.144 per hours plus excellent benefits; included in Technical Bargaining Unit and is in pay schedule 06-13.
