Veterinary Technician II
Sea World; Orlando, Florida
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must have an A.A.S. or greater from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program.
- Must have a Veterinary Technician certification (C.V.T.) in the state of Florida or be eligible to acquire certification within one year.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact effectively within a team environment, attention to detail, the ability to multi task, basic computer skills, and excellent organization skills.
- Previous experience in a zoological facility, working knowledge of exotic animal species, and knowledge of dental prophylactic procedures are preferred.
- Responsibilities include assisting Veterinarians in all animal health care functions, playing a key role in interdepartmental communication for procedure scheduling, maintaining surgery and necropsy facilities including maintenance of medical equipment, providing surgical assistance and anesthetic monitoring, performing radiology procedures, and providing medical treatment and phlebotomy.
