Certified Veterinary
Technician Milwaukee County Zoo is seeking a certified veterinary technician. Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent and associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology or Animal Health Technology from accredited institution. Two years experience as a veterinary technician, including performing diagnostic tests required. Certification in the state of Wisconsin within 1 year of hire required. Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license during incumbency. Bachelor’s degree in animal health related field or medical technician degree desirable. Exotic animal and data entry experience desirable. Responsible for assisting with anesthesia, surgical, treatment and necropsy procedures; diagnostic laboratory procedures; developing and implementing hospital protocols; operation and maintenance of medical equipment; ordering hospital supplies; animal training, research and conservation projects. Annual salary $34,642-$38,753.
