Aquatic Animal Veterinary Assistant Aquatic Animal Veterinary Assistant- Full Time Participate on of team of dedicated and progressive professionals working to provide excellent comprehensive health care for the animal collection at Disney's -The Seas near Orlando, FL. The successful applicant for this full time role will provide veterinary technical support to both the veterinary and animal management staffs in the implementation and maintenance of all aspects of the animal health program. In addition to technician responsibilities, the successful applicant is also expected to assist with the development and implementation of presentations to educate and inspire our Guests in areas of aquatic zoological medicine and wildlife conservation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Documented veterinary technician experience in Aquatic Animal Medicine including fish. Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician program. Licensed or certified as Veterinary Technician in at least one state. Demonstrated strong laboratory skills. Demonstrated computer skills with mainstream IBM compatible programs. Demonstrated strong organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to participate as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to follow directions well and handle detail oriented information accurately. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
